Structural-semantic features of English and Uzbek proverbs related to
topics of family and life, problems of their translation from one language to
another are discussed in the article. The author of the article pays attention to
aspects, which are important in translating the proverbs and analyzes ways of
their translation. The problems of appropriate method of translation of specific
types of proverbs are also discussed on language material.
